TODAY is Election Day for residents of HD 94, HD 130, and SD 53!

Last Friday was Crossover Day, marking an importan

Last Friday was Crossover Day, marking an important deadline for the Georgia General Assembly. That means we've got just 12 legislative days left now in Georgia– 12 legislative days left to continue blocking any anti-LGBTQ bills until we're in the clear.

The finish line is in view and the Georgia Equality team will remain vigilant in defending LGBTQ Georgians until the end!

Candidates are currently qualifying for the midter

Candidates are currently qualifying for the midterm elections this week and we've got one important question on our minds: Where do they stand on Medicaid expansion?

Medicaid is bigger than just healthcare, it impacts the state as a whole. By making medical care accessible, people can keep their money in their communities, helping their economy grow rather than large medical companies.

Medicaid expansion is good policy and good politics. Ask the candidates where they stand today!

READ: Joanna Schwartz, professor of marketing at Georgia College and State University, wrote an op-ed for the AJC expressing her dismay with the legislature targeting insurance coverage of medical care for transgender state employees.

In the piece, Joanna writes, "Allowing transgender state employees to access medical care and mental health counseling, just as we do for every other state employee, is a basic aspect of medical insurance, insurance for which the employees themselves pay a substantial portion of the cost."
