From First City Network:
First City Network (FCN) is proud and honored to support
and have the support of Chatham County Sheriff, John Wilcher.
Sheriff Wilcher is an asset, not only to the LGBT community, but to all of Chatham County. He treats everyone he meets with dignity and respect. His open door policy makes him truly a sheriff of and for the people he proudly serves.
Sheriff Wilcher had this to say: “As a person, in both my professional and personal lives, I have always made it a priority to not judge people by the color of their skin, religion, political affiliation or by their sexual orientation. For many years I have had friends in the LGBT community and my support of the community was not, and is not, a matter of politics. Over the past year though, I have gotten to know the Savannah community much better and regret that I did not have the opportunity to do so sooner. My wife Dottie and I love and respect the warm welcome we have gotten from both GA Equality and FCN and look forward to many more years of friendship. As Sheriff of Chatham County my door is always open to everyone.”
On Saturday, January 7th Sheriff Wilcher and His wife Dottie are hosting FCN’s monthly Social and pot luck supper at his home in Savannah (19 Chippewa Dr. Savannah, GA). Social hours are from 7pm to 10pm. All socials are open to everyone. Please feel welcome to attend and bring a dish to share with friends.
