Georgia Equality Responds to Trump’s Tweets on Transgender Military Service

For Immediate Release

We were shocked and disturbed to see today’s tweets from President Trump regarding the service of transgender individuals in our armed forces. The US military is the largest employer of transgender people in the world, employing an estimated 15,000 transgender people. Coming from a President that ran on the promise of creating jobs, making a move to strip jobs from 15,000 americans shows the President’s true feeling toward LGBTQ people. Continue reading


July 6, 2017: Public Policy Committees Special Meeting

Georgia Equality HIV and AIDS

The Public Policy Committees of both the Ryan White Planning Council and Fulton County HIV Task Force will hold a special  a special meeting on the evening of July 6th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

The meeting will take place in the Event Annex of the Phillip Rush Center.

The purpose of this meeting will be to provide an update on the policy recommendations that have come from the Strategy to End AIDS in Fulton County, and community listening session.

Evening for Equality 2017 was held on June 17th at the InterContinental Hotel Buckhead. This years event was the largest in the organization’s history — more sponsors, the largest Host Committee, and more elected officials and candidates for elected office than any year before!
