Today, we’re excited to share with you Georgia Unites Against Discrimination’s new website — your online hub for the latest news and actions in our campaign to stop the so-called Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), a bill that if passed into law, would allow individuals and businesses to use religious freedom as a justification to discriminate against others. Our new website gives our supporters all the tools you need to get involved in our historic campaign—from sharing your story to volunteering.

Right now, you can take actions that will help us make the case against discrimination right now:

And don’t forget to “like’ Georgia Unites on Facebook and follow @GeorgiaUnites on Twitter. Together, we can defeat RFRA—and ensure that no Georgian should face discrimination in the name of religious freedom.

Welcome to Georgia Unites Against Discrimination’s new website January 20, 2015

Screen Shot 2015-01-20 at 8.55.44 AMToday, we’re excited to share with you Georgia Unites Against Discrimination’s new website — your online hub for the latest news and actions in our campaign to stop the so-called Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), a bill that if passed into law, would allow individuals and businesses to use religious freedom as a justification to discriminate against others. Our new website gives our supporters all the tools you need to get involved in our historic campaign—from sharing your story to volunteering.

Right now, you can take actions that will help us make the case against discrimination right now:

  • Sign the petition: We know a majority of Georgians agree that discrimination is wrong—but now it’s time to show it! Sign the petition if you believe that no one should use their religious beliefs as a justification to cause harm to others.
  • Share your story: Supporters across the state are coming together to share their stories about why they believe all Georgians should be protected from discrimination.
  • Volunteer: We’re growing our campaign every day as more and more supporters are joining us at phone banks and community meetings. Volunteers are at the core of our efforts, so sign up now to join us at a volunteer event near you.
  • Contact your lawmakers: Send an email to your state legislators now and let them know that you, and a majority of Georgians oppose the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).

And don’t forget to “like’ Georgia Unites on Facebook and follow @GeorgiaUnites on Twitter. Together, we can defeat RFRA—and ensure that no Georgian should face discrimination in the name of religious freedom.

We were so grateful to be able to profile Rachel last year. Her story is inspiring and it's sad to see her treated unfairly. Thank you Rachel for standing up for yourself! bit.ly/2VTK7j3
