You can now register to vote online! It’s simple and fast. The deadline to register for the upcoming General Election in November is October 6th. Once you register, you should receive a card in the mail within 6 weeks that has your voting location and address. Also remember, you can vote early or by mail using an absentee ballot. Don’t Forget to Vote in July 22nd Runoff!
Georgia Equality wants to remind you that in person early voting began on Monday, June 30th. The early voting period will continue through Friday, July 18th.

The “My Voter Page” (MVP) app is a great free resource for voting information. Georgia voters can view their specific sample ballot, find their polling locations, check voter registration status and track the status of their absentee ballot. All of this information is available on mobile devices on Apple and Android platforms. To download the app search for “GA Votes” in the app store.
You can still vote in the runoff even if you did not vote in the primary election in May. If you did not vote in the primary you can choose either the republican or democratic ballot. If you did vote in the primary election in May and you chose a republican ballot, you will only be able to vote in the republican runoff. If you chose a democratic ballot in the May primary you will only be able to vote in the democratic runoff.

Georgia Equality is currently accepting applications for 2014 fall interns. We’re looking for motivated individuals willing to make a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. Intern positions at Georgia Equality are not paid. The movement towards LGBT equality cannot be won overnight. If we are to reach our goals it is imperative that we support and foster leadership in those who will continue the fight.
