Pocket of Faith is a monthly newsletter directly geared towards the intersection of LGBTQ+ human rights and faith. We are proud to showcase this important subject, revealing that faith, religion, and LGBTQ+ rights co-exist in harmony and not in opposition.

Faith Leaders United Against Discrimination
Dear faith leaders,
As you may have heard, SB 36—the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA)—has been reintroduced, posing a significant threat to the rights and protections of marginalized communities. We anticipate a Senate hearing on SB 36 as early as this week, and we need faith leaders like you to stand with us in opposition.
Georgia Equality is mobilizing a Faith Leader Rapid Response Team, similar to the networks we have established for parents and medical providers. This team will be crucial in responding swiftly to legislative developments, offering testimony, engaging with lawmakers, and providing a visible, faith-based voice against harmful policies.
The core concerns about RFRA remain unchanged, and we are in the process of updating a fact sheet that we will share as soon as it is completed. In the meantime, your presence and advocacy are critical.
If you are willing to be part of this rapid response effort, please email email hidden; JavaScript is required or as soon as possible. Every voice matters in this moment, and together, we can ensure that faith continues to be a force for justice rather than discrimination.
Thank you for your continued commitment to building a more just and inclusive Georgia.
