Georgia Equality is currently accepting applications for 2014 fall interns. We’re looking for motivated individuals willing to make a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. Intern positions at Georgia Equality are not paid. The movement towards LGBT equality cannot be won overnight. If we are to reach our goals it is imperative that we support and foster leadership in those who will continue the fight. As an intern at Georgia Equality you will learn the basic and advanced skills needed to become an effective grassroots organizer. The following intern positions are available for fall 2014:
- Gay-Straight Alliance Network Intern – Help support LGBT youth in Georgia. The GSA intern will assist in supporting and growing our statewide GSA network.
- Field Organizer Intern – Work with our Field Associate to mobilize LGBT Georgians to communicate with their elected officials to affect policy change, to vote in local elections, and raise critical funds needed to build the movement in Georgia.
If you would like to apply for one of our intern positions or if you have questions, please send an email to Deputy Director, Melinda Sheldon at email hidden; JavaScript is required.
