Your Vote Can Make A Difference:  On average, less than 22% of registered voters in Georgia vote in the primaries, yet 82% of the state legislative seats will be elected during the primaries because there is no opposition party candidate in November. Voting is your chance to elect a fair majority in Georgia.

Registering to vote in Georgia is an easy process that only takes a few minutes. Simply fill out a registration form and mail it in to the Secretary of State.

Registration forms can be accessed at: http://www.sos.ga.gov/elections/

If registering to vote for the first time in Georgia, you will also need to provide a copy of a valid form of I.D., such as a current photo I.D., a copy of a current utility statement, a paycheck, or a government document showing your name and address.

Forms should be mailed to:

Karen Handel
Secretary of State
1104 West Tower, 2 Martin Luther King Drive, S.E.
Atlanta, Georgia 30334-1505

You may also send your application to your local county board of registrars' office.

(Voter registration applications cannot be faxed).
