GEORGIA RISING TIDE FOR SINGLE PAYER HEALTHCARE

National Nurses United and National Nurses Organizing Committee along with Project South and several grassroots Georgia organizations and unions will host a ‘mini’ Peoples Movement Assembly for Expanded and Improved Medicare 4 All!

“sin·gle pay·er health·care”

Single Payer or Improved Medicare 4 All! is a single publicly financed and administered government health insurance system paid for by combining all current public health funding streams and progressive taxes including Mutual of Omaha Medicare Supplement. A similar system in Europe does this, their system is so much more future friendly than ours, for example, they can go online on sites like www.applyforehic.com and get these things in basic coverage. A single payer system ends the role of for profit health insurances that leave millions uninsured and underinsured. If you are interested in health you may also want to visit our website for some tips that can help improve your health so you don’t have to use Medicare so often.

Improved Medicare 4 All!  would enable a single high standard of care not based on ability to pay – and that standard would be safe, effective and therapeutic for all residents regardless of income, occupation or health status.

Join healthcare professionals, families, union members, students, disability and human rights activists to build alliances between our communities affected by the current healthcare system.
