LGBT Families: Opportunities to get involved!

We’ve got a couple of great opportunities coming up for LGBT families to get involved with, and have a good time. We’re also preparing to start some back to school activities and are interested in talking to LGBT families with adopted children, and those who serve as foster parents. If that sounds like your family, click here and tell us a little more  about you!

August 19 & 20: Zoo Atlanta Family Days

Stop by our booth! Georgia Equality will be participating in the 2017 City of Atlanta and Fulton County Family Days.  Zoo Atlanta will be hosting Family Days weekend on August 19th and 20th – both Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm.
This weekend offers free admission to guests who can demonstrate residence in the City of Atlanta/Fulton County or employment in either the City of Atlanta or Fulton County Government. Free admission is valid for two adults and up to four children per family. Georgia Equality will have a booth during this event and we would love to see you and stop by for free giveaways!

August 23: Call In for Equality! 7pm

We need LGBT Parents! The Georgia 2018 Legislative session is just around the corner and we are preparing for the upcoming battle regarding the adoption law (link to email about adoption) that will continue to be in play. We need parents to have adopted children who are willing to meet with legislators, to meet with the press, who would be willing to share their story online or through social media. If you are interested in supporting this effort or know someone who might – please join us for a call to see what we are working on and how you can get involved.
